Prince De Galles Hotel bronze adjustable desk lamp, France 1930
This lamp is from a collection of 26 that come from the Prince de Galles hotel in Paris, France. The lever on the side lifts up to adjust the angle of the lamp. At the base of the lamp is a small ashtray.
The bronze plates served the purpose of covering the ashtray. They also served as a paperweight or one could place the paperweight on top of a letter as notice for the hotel to send it in the mail.
Each plate is engraved with the hotel’s name. All lamps are re-wired for U.S. outlets. Shades are custom made silk.
Condition:
Lamp body is in original condition.
Some oxidation to the finish. Shades are custom made silk.
