Prince de Galles Hotel Art Deco Floor Lamps, 1940, France
Stunning pair of Art Deco bronze floor lamps from a set of 22, from the prestigious Prince de Galles hotel in Paris.
We purchased all of the lighting available that was taken from this historic hotel in the 1980s when they were remodeling the hotel.
A pair of these floor lamps was found in each hotel room when the hotel was in operation.
Three socket arms gracefully surround the crown. The square lampshades successfully contrast with the round features.
These floor lamps as well as the sconces, desk lamps and table lamps have remained for the last 25 years in a basement and have not been for sale.
Fortunately, we had first dibs in buying the complete collection of lighting available.
The floor lamp bodies are all in their original condition and thus have varying degrees of the natural patina, they have only been cleaned. The lampshades were replaced and are finished and lined in silk inside and outside which lends even more sophistication.
